Prof.Dr.Ahmet M.KILIÇOĞLU graduated from Ankara University - Faculty of Law as an honor student in 1971. He was sent to Bern University - Faculty of Law (Switzerland) with a scholarship from 1976 to 1979. He became a professor in 1988. He is the author of various books related to the Code of Obligations, "Intellectual Property", Law of Persons, Family Law, Inheritance Law and Law of Property.
He worked as a full time lecturer in Ankara University - Faculty of Law till 1987. As of 1987, he started to work as an attorney at law and hence continued his studies in the Faculty of Law only part-time. 'He is currently the chief of the Chair of Private Law in Ankara University - Faculty of Law."
He was a "Counselor at Law" at the "Turkish Ministry of Justice" during the time 1994-1998 and 2000-2002. He participated in the Commission, that was aimed to prepare and realize the "New Civil Code" and constituted by Turkish Republic - Ministry of Justice and, both as a President and a member.
Prof.Dr. Ahmet M. Kılıçoğlu also spent important efforts so as to provide the implementation and interpretation of the new Civil Code by attending various Conferences and television programs in Turkey. With respect to the introduction of the New Civil Code and after the entrance of the concerned code in to force, he also participated in many conferences as a lecturer held in Turkey and in many other foreign countries.
He is still invited to Television Programs so as to give lectures about Intellectual Property Rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents, etc.) Civil Code, Unfair Competition, etc.
He wrote 20 books and over 70 articles at various times. He is still selected by the courts as an expert witness on account of his knowledge and skills. And he also works as an arbitrator on very important cases.
He knows both written and spoken German at an advanced level and French at a medium level.
